Man-Made Forest

The Maha Shoonya Foundation is working on the creation of a Man-Made Forest, to be established on land provided by the Central or State Government as part of a national drive for dense forestation. This forest will not only serve as a sanctuary for diverse flora and fauna but will also become a tourist destination, generating revenue. The forest will be home to a variety of species, including those listed under Schedule A of the Wildlife Protection Act, ensuring the conservation of both vertebrate and invertebrate animals. The design of the forest will support the natural life cycles of these species, providing them with a suitable habitat.

To facilitate this, the forest will feature essential infrastructure such as water bodies, access roads, lighting for illumination, protective fencing, appropriate tree plantation, grass growth, elevated observation posts, and residential quarters for rangers to manage the site and ensure the well-being of the animals. In addition to its environmental and educational value, the forest will contribute to the country's carbon credits, significantly boosting oxygen production and helping combat climate change.
