The Maha Shoonya Foundation is a registered non-profit organization committed to nurturing a life of purity, inner peace, and strong moral values through the practice of yoga and spiritual growth.
God created this vast, intricate Universe out of Shoonya—the sacred nothingness. But this Shoonya is not the numerical zero we use in mathematics. It is the eternal void, the womb of creation, the silent stillness from which all existence is born.
In today’s fast-paced, stress-filled world, many of us feel lost, caught in the struggle to simply survive. But life is meant for more than just survival. It’s meant for peace, joy, purpose, and spiritual growth. Maha Shoonya Dhyan Yoga is a powerful spiritual practice, developed.
Acharya Shri Jagdish Ji Maharaj is the Chairman and Founder of the Maha Shoonya
Foundation. Renowned as a distinguished philosopher, revered Bhagwat Kathavachak, and a
dedicated practitioner of yoga and meditation, he embodies the timeless values and ethics
of ancient sages and spiritual leaders. Guided by a philanthropic spirit and a compassionate
heart, Acharya Ji is a beacon of wisdom and selfless service.
Born on February 17th in the picturesque village of Pamtola, District Champawat,
Uttarakhand — a region rich in natural beauty and spiritual heritage — Acharya Ji's life has
been marked by profound spiritual experiences. It is said that even before his birth, a
spiritual being prophesied that Acharya Ji had been a sanyasi in previous lives and would
embrace the same path in this one.
At the age of six, he tragically lost his mother, Bhagirathi. From a young age, he exhibited a remarkable thirst for knowledge.
By 11, he left home for Sanskrit studies and later moved to Haridwar to study religious texts. His journey continued
through Mathura, Gangotri, and beyond — ultimately founding the NAMO GANGE TRUST in 2015 to protect the sacred river.
